Is your home safe? We’re not talking about safe from burglars or a natural disaster here, just safety for its occupants and visitors. There are many dangers that you could be exposed to in a home, so it is a good idea to take a walk around and look for any dangers that you might not even realize are there.

You should consider the state of your exterior walkways and stairs. If they are uneven or cracked, they could pose a tripping hazard for someone walking up to the house. If you have dead tree branches on trees near a path, these could fall down and hurt someone.

As to the inside of your home, you should give attention to loose electrical connections that could potentially cause a fire or electrocution. If you have carpeted floors, make sure they are not loose and a tripping hazard.

You probably get the idea by now. Keep going over your home room by room and you will find that some simple fixes can make your home a much safer place to live in.
